Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2018. / Kabar /. In Kyrgyzstan, there is no problem with hunger, but the population in the regions does not have access to a diverse and healthy eating, Country Director of the UN World Food Program Andrea Bagnoli told at a press conference in the UN House.
"We are working to ensure that 1.5 million people who live beyond the poverty line have access to healthy nutrition. Also that residents of regions have the same access to healthy and varied food, as the residents of large cities buy in large supermarkets," said Bagnoli.
He said that the world produces enough food, but, nevertheless, around 800 million people in the world suffer from hunger.
