Bishkek, Mar.20, 2020./Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has banned spring hunting because of the coronavirus, the press service of the country's State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry (SAEPF) said.
The corresponding order was signed by SAEPF Head Mirslav Amankulov.
Almaz Musayev, Director of the SAEPF Department of Biodiversity Preservation and Specially Protected Areas was instructed to bring this decision to the attention of hunters and together with relevant state agencies to conduct explanatory work to ensure public safety measures in order to prevent further spread of coronavirus and other diseases that may be transmitted through wild animals and birds.
Staff of the SAEPF Department of Biodiversity Preservation and Specially Protected Areas are switching to reinforced regime.
Also, in order to avoid further spread of coronavirus, Director Amankulov instructed heads of structural and subordinate subdivisions of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry to periodically carry out disinfection work in the administrative buildings, offices and strengthen the access control regime.
