There is decrease in incidence of tuberculosis in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 13, 2024. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, at the end of 2023, according to preliminary data, there is a decrease in the incidence of tuberculosis (including the penal service system) compared to the same period in 2022, the National Center for Phthisiology of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to data, a total of 4,170 new cases and relapses were registered in 2023, 4,568 cases in 2022, and 4,596 cases in 2021.

The highest incidence of tuberculosis, as before, remains in the Chui region, the lowest in the Issyk-Kul region.

Fatalities – 180 cases.
