Bishkek, July 8, 2022. / Kabar /. There is a shortage of 300-400 medicines in Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Union of Kyrgyzstan Ernis Asanov told during a briefing in Bishkek.

He said that medicines from 30 countries of the world are imported into the country, but most of them are from the Russian Federation.

“Some medicines containing narcotic drugs were imported from Ukraine, where not a single tablet is brought from now. We ordered there because of the availability of prices,” the head of the union said.

He also noted that at the moment only 5-10 out of 100 items are imported.

“We plan to import foreign drugs from Turkey, India, China and some European countries. We hope that we will be able to fully meet the needs of our population,” Asanov said.
