There will be no one-man dictatorship in Kyrgyzstan: President-elect Zhaparov

Bishkek, Jan. 11, 2021. /Kabar/. There will be no one-man dictatorship on Kyrgyzstan, only dictatorship of law and justice, Sadyr Zhaparov, who won the presidential elections said at an event in the central Ala-Too square.

He said he is very grateful for the trust of the people.

"But I urge you not to leave me alone to do my job, but to follow my work, criticize, give advice, guide. Our work will be open and transparent. We will create conditions for opponents to come to government meetings and participate in the work," Zhaparov said.

He noted that today's election victory was not just his, but everyone's.

"You voted for me, for the future of the country, your children. I promise not to fail your expectations and to fulfill them. Because we have waited 30 years for this day. Every time we elected deputies and presidents with hope, but our expectations were not met," Zhaparov said.

According to the latest data from the republic’s CEC, Sadyr Zhaparov is an absolute leader in the early presidential elections held on Sunday. This is evidenced by preliminary results of voting. Recent data received from the automatic ballot boxes show that Zhaparov gained 79,19% of votes, and 83,98% according to manual count.
