Third meeting of EAEU Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in transport held in Moscow

Bishkek, Nov.22, 2019. /Kabar/. Russia’s Moscow hosted the third meeting of the Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the field of transport of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.

This event was held at the site of the Transport of Russia International Forum within the Transport Week 2019, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Transport said.

Minister of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan Zhanat Beishenov, Minister of Transport of Russia Yevgeny Dietrich, Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia Suren Papikyan, Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Alexey Avramenko, Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliev, First Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilham Makhkamov took part in the meeting.

The key topics of discussion were the issues, related to the implementation of the decisions of the 2nd meeting of the EAEU Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the field of transport, the plans of measures for the implementation of the Main Directions and stages of implementation of the coordinated transport policy of the Eurasian Economic Union member states for 2018-2020, as well as the transport and economic balance of the EAEU.

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union of states located in central and northern Asia and Eastern Europe.

The Eurasian Economic Union has an integrated single market of 180 million people and a gross domestic product of over Int$5 trillion. The EAEU introduces the free movement of goods, capital, services and people and provides for common policies in the macroeconomic sphere, transport, industry and agriculture, energy, foreign trade and investment, customs, technical regulation, competition and antitrust regulation.

Members of the Union are: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia.
