Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2020. /Kabar/. 2020 is marking the 96th anniversary of the Kyrgyz militia, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Internal Ministry reported Monday.
According to the ministry, the personnel of the internal affairs bodies approached their professional holiday with good results. This year, all efforts of the militia were aimed at ensuring public safety, fighting crime, prevention of offenses, countering organized crime. A number of detentions of persons related to OCG were conducted.
The coronavirus infection pandemic has made its own adjustments to the organization and mode of operation of internal affairs departments.
During the period of introduction of the state of emergency and emergency in the country, the Interior Ministry and other state organizations worked together and made their contribution to the protection of health and life, security of citizens and in the general fight against the spread of coronavirus infection.
On Oct. 21, 1924 on the territory of Kyrgyzstan the Revolutionary committee of then Kara-Kirghiz Autonomous Oblast was created - temporary body of state power. Two departments were created in the committee - executive and administrative.
On Nov. 1 head of administrative department Ibrai Toichinov pointed out in the report that the Department of Regional Militia began to function, and Arkadi Arumov was appointed its first head. This day is considered to be the birthday of militia of the Kyrgyz Republic.
