Three airports of Kyrgyzstan become best airports of year in CIS countries

Bishkek, May 30, 2022. / Kabar /. Three airports of Kyrgyzstan won in the contest "The best airport of the year in the CIS countries", the Manas airport reported.

Moscow hosted the 60th Moscow International Conference "Modern Airport" and the exhibition "Technique, equipment and technologies for airports", within which the winners of the competition "Best Airport of the Year of the CIS Member States" were awarded.

The annual competition was established by the Airport Association of Civil Aviation in order to ensure the successful development and competitiveness of the airports of the CIS member countries in the domestic and international markets, promote their achievements, improve the level of passenger service, ensure flight safety, and improve the infrastructure of aviation enterprises.

The organizing committee evaluated the contestants who achieved the highest results in the reporting year and made a significant contribution to the development of civil aviation.

All nominees claimed victories in four categories - "The best airport of the year in the CIS countries", "For active production activities", "For a great contribution to the development of the airport", "Dynamically developing airport".

Among airports with a passenger traffic volume of more than 1 million passengers per year, Manas International Airport became the winner of the competition in the nomination “Dynamically Developing Airport” among the airports of the CIS countries for 2021. Also, Osh and Issyk-Kul International Airports became the winners of the competition among the CIS member countries based on the results of work for 2021 in the nomination “For a great contribution to the development of the airport, the report said.
