Bishkek, July 6, 2022. /Kabar/. Three children drowned in Issyk-Kul in a month, the press service of Issyk-Kul Oblast Internal Affairs Department reported Wednesday.

In this regard, inspectors on children's issues are carrying out a set of preventive measures aimed at ensuring the safety of children while swimming in the lake.

"The other day, police officers and lifeguards held master classes for children on water safety. The younger generation in the summer children's camps and recreation centers in Issyk-Kul Oblast were told and shown how to save a drowning person with a life ring. During the master classes special attention was paid to first aid in case of drowning. Leaflets on safe behavior on the water were handed out," the report said.
