Three kids killed in house fire in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul

Bishkek, Dec. 30, 2021 . / Kabar /. A fire in the village of Karakol, Ak-Suu region of Issyk-Kul Oblast claimed lives of three children, girls aged 4 and 6 and a boy aged 5.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported that the area of the fire was 159 square meters, a house, a barn and a shed burned down. The cause of the fire is being investigated by specialists.

According to preliminary data, the fire originated in the barn where hay was stored. The dead children were playing in a room that was on the side of the fire. They could not be saved because the roof had collapsed.

"Adults, parents and other children who were watching TV in another room were able to escape through the window," the police reported.

The fire may have been caused by children's pranks, allegedly some of the children were playing with matches.
