Three Kyrgyz people die in traffic accident in Russia’s Ural

Bishkek, Jan.23, 2020. /Kabar/. Traffic accident involving citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic occurred on Jan.22 at 117th km of the A-310 Chelyabinsk - Troitsk federal highway.

According to local media, driver of a foreign car and four of his passengers died at the scene. They were also Kyrgyz citizens, 56, 26 , 22 and 43 years old. The foreign car was heading towards the Russian-Kazakh border. Driver of the KAMAZ with Kazakh plates was on way to Chelyabinsk.

The accident could be caused by poor weather.

“Police officers are investigating all the causes of the accident, identifying all the circumstances," said the traffic police’s press service. - At the time of the accident, there was a blizzard associated with strong winds.

The General Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Yekaterinburg is currently collecting information about the victims. They have abstained from official comments there so far, but promised to make a statement in the near future.

As a result of the work done, the Embassy has established operational cooperation with the employees of the territorial bodies of the Russian Emergency Ministry and Internal Ministry.

3 victims, Kyrgyz citizens, have been identified, all of them are in the morgue. Relative of one of the deceased citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic has already arrived at the scene of the incident, and the Embassy is working to find other relatives of the deceased.

The matter is under the control of the Embassy.
