Bishkek, Apr. 2, 2020 / Kabar /. As of April 1, among the people infected with COVID-19 coronavirus infection in Pakistan, three more citizens of Kyrgyzstan were identified in Abbotabad, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
According to preliminary information, these citizens, together with six other Kyrgyz citizens, as well as one citizen of the Russian Federation (a native of the Kyrgyz Republic) were in Abbotabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in order to carry out religious missionary work - daavat.
“Currently, one of the patients is hospitalized, his family member - also with a positive test result for COVID-19 is with him. The third citizen is under the supervision of doctors in the quarantine zone. Doctors assess the condition of everyone as stable, not critical,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
The above-mentioned citizens are not registered with the consulate of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Islamabad; they themselves did not apply to the foreign agency for assistance.
The embassy is in constant contact with medical institutions and law enforcement agencies in Pakistan.
