Bishkek, Mar. 28, 2019. /Kabar/. Issues of further cooperation between the two capitals of Russia and Kyrgyzstan were discussed today during the business breakfast within the 8th inter-regional Russian-Kyrgyz conference in Bishkek.
As is known, Russia is implementing a large national project on digital economy. As Sergey Cheremin, the head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations of Moscow, said, the provisions of the program signed in July 2017 on cooperation between Bishkek and Moscow are currently being implemented.
“We have identified several key points for ourselves, first of all, this is rendering support to Bishkek in creation of a modern intellectual transport system of the city. The day before, our colleagues held successful negotiations on possibility of creating control centers, centers of traffic management, modern parking space, a single ticket system for urban transport. We also agreed that we will continue to cooperate in the field of education. Moscow has excellent experience in creating an e-school, and our company is ready to organize a comprehensive supply of textbooks, teaching aids and the most modern engineering classes to schools in Kyrgyzstan,” Cheremin said.
He also added that a protocol had been signed the day before between Bishkek Housing and Public Utilities Department and a Russian company on establishment of a water purification system, preparation and localization of the production of technologies in the Kyrgyz Republic.
“We also discussed the possibility of resuming the work of the Moscow-Kyrgyz Commission for Economic Business Cooperation, in the near future we will sign a document,” Sergey Cheremin said.
Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov supported all of the above proposals and said that work in this direction will bring many positive results.
