TIKA to continue to support Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn Oblast

Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2024 . / Kabar / . TIKA will continue to support Naryn Oblast, Program Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Kyrgyzstan Mehmet Bodur said at a meeting with Deputy Governor of Naryn Oblast Shabdan Abdyrayim uulu.

Current projects and plans for further cooperation within the framework of joint programs were discussed at the meeting, the Naryn Oblast state administration said.

Shabdan Abdyrayim uulu emphasized the importance of cooperation with TIKA, thanking the agency for its support and assistance in the implementation of significant projects in Naryn.

In turn, Mehmet Bodur emphasized that TIKA will continue to support new initiatives on regional development and consider opportunities to improve the socio-economic situation in the oblast.

Following are the projects that have been successfully implemented in Naryn with the participation of TICA:

- In 2019, the building of the family doctor's office in At-Bashy village was overhauled within the framework of the project of the Turkish charity fund TIKA, the cost of the repair amounted to KGS 6 million.

- In 2017, a feldsher-midwife station was built in Birlik village of At-Bashy region, the estimated cost amounted to KGS 2,5 million .

-In 2017, the same station was built in Emgek-Talaa village of Naryn region at an estimated cost of KGS 2 million 258.

Within the framework of the agreement between Naryn State University, the Turkish Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and TIKA, the Center for Turkish Language and Culture in the main building of the university was fully restored.
