Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2021 / Kabar /. Osman Usta, Program Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in the Kyrgyz Republic, visited the National Library of Kyrgyzstan and held negotiations with its director Zhyldyz Bakashova.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for further improvement and modernization of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Center for Culture and Literature named after Chingiz Aitmatov, who is very popular among readers of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, and outlined plans for holding joint events in 2021.
Opening of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Center for Culture and Literature named after Chingiz Aitmatov took place in 2018, it was timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the world famous writer and public figure Chingiz Aitmatov. The center was organized at the National Library by TIKA with the support of the Embassy of the Turkish Republic in Kyrgyzstan.
