Tolerance is very important aspect of human – GMC participants

Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2022. /Kabar/. The second day of the Global Media Congress has started with the conference devoted to the Tolerance Day marking worldwide on November 16.

The three-day congress under the theme “Shaping the Future of the Media Industry” is organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), is held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, speaking at the conference stressed that media outlets have a major role in advancing local and international communities and promoting the values of tolerance and human fraternity.

“As you gather at the Global Media Congress, you have a duty and responsibility to help readers and listeners learn about other cultures and be open to them, as well as to convince them that pluralism and diversity are sources of strength for human communities. You have a duty to work with everyone, whether children, the youth, families, religious people, business people, schools, universities or civil society organizations, so they can perform their allocated roles,” Sheikh Nahyan said adding that the duty of media outlets is to ensure openness to global experiences, always be informed and continue their ongoing development.
