Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Aug. 10 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov held phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry's press service, during the conversation the two foreign ministers discussed cooperation issues in overcoming the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, exchanged views on current areas and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including the resumption of regular air service between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the near future.
Aidarbekov expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the provided humanitarian aid in the fight against coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic, deploying Russian doctors who provided invaluable practical and advisory assistance during the active phase of coronavirus spread in Kyrgyzstan.
The sides expressed hope for implementation of all planned activities within the Cross Year of the two countries, further intensification of the whole complex of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation as the epidemiological situation in the two countries stabilizes.
In addition, views were exchanged on regional and international policy issues.
