Bishkek, Feb. 21, 2022 . / Kabar / . The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic has published the main causes of mortality in 2021.
Thus, the first place in the structure of causes of death of the population of the republic is occupied by diseases of the circulatory system - 51.8% (in 2020 - 51.6%), the second - neoplasms - 10.3% (in 2020 - 12.4%). Third place is taken by external causes of death - 7.0% (in 2019 - 5.5%), fourth - infectious and parasitic diseases - 69.2% (including COVID -19) (in 2020 - 6.7%), fifth place - digestive diseases - 5.2% (in 2020 - 5.2%).
In addition, respiratory diseases account for - 4.4% (2020 - 7.4%).
The average annual resident population on Jan. 1, 2022 was 6 million 691.4 thousand people.
According to the official data of the republic’s National Statistics Committee, by the end of 12 months of 2021 the birth rate remained unchanged at 23.8 per 1000 population (in 2021 - 23.8). The number of births at the end of 11 months was 145946, which is by 2602 more than in 2020.
In comparison with the previous year, a slight 1.7% decrease is observed in the indicator of general mortality, amounting to 5.8 per 1000 population (in 2020 - 5.9) is noted. The number of deaths for 11 months of 2021 -35607 (2020 -35718) decreased by 111.
Accordingly, at the end of 11 months, the rate of natural population growth remained unchanged, amounting to 18.0 per 1000 population as of Jan. 1, 2022 (2020 -17.9).
