Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2022. / Kabar /. The total area of the state forest fund of Kyrgyzstan is 2 million 538.6 thousand hectares (ha), Baktybek Yrsaliyev, Deputy Director of the Forest Service of the country told reporters at Kabar Agency.
He said that the forested area of them is 797.3 thousand hectares. Thus, the state forest fund is in the operational management of 41 forestry enterprises. In turn, the total forested area of the Kyrgyz Republic is 1 million 253.8 thousand hectares.
It should be noted that the forestry enterprises of the republic annually harvest more than 12 tons of forest seeds and annually grow more than 15 million planting material and more than 40 types of forest species to ensure reforestation.
In addition, on the lands of the state forest fund, forestry work is carried out annually to plant forest crops on an area of more than 1,200 hectares.
