Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2019. / Kabar /. The Tourism Business Forum of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan was held for the first time in the Tajik city of Khujand, with the assistance of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Tajikistan and chaired by the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Committee on Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event was attended by representatives of Kyrgyz companies, as well as representatives of Tajik companies.
The parties discussed and considered the issues of interaction and cooperation between government agencies in charge of the tourism sector and travel companies. During the Business Forum, presentations on tourism and investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were held, negotiations were held in the B2B format, 15 agreements and memorandums were signed between companies in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
An agreement was reached to hold the next tourism Business Forum on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2020, to develop and coordinate a draft Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of tourism. Following the results of the Tourism Business Forum of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, an appropriate protocol was adopted.
