Tourism Department declares contest Kyrgyz Tourism Awards

Bishkek, August 7 / Kabar /. The Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic organizes the Kyrgyz Tourism Awards competition in 17 nominations, which will determine the best objects and subjects of the country's tourism industry, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, Director of the Department of Tourism Azamat Zhamankulov told today speaking at the press conference at Kabar Agency.

He said that in recent times the development of tourism has been given great importance in Kyrgyzstan, because this sector is considered one of the engines of the country's economic development.

"The planned event will be another opportunity to promote and improve the quality of tourism, because the presentation of the Kyrgyz Tourism Awards will give an incentive to many tourist sites," Zhamankulov said.

The prize will be awarded in 17 nominations:

1. The best innovative project;

2. The best project of event tourism;

3. The best tour operator;

4. The best guest house;

5. The best hotel;

6. The best tourist complex;

7. The best Internet project on the promotion of tourism;

8. The best idea for promoting tourism;

9. The best diplomatic representation;

10. The best educational institution in the field of tourism;

11. The best area for tourism development;

12. The best domestic media on tourism coverage;

13. The best expert in tourism;

14. The best guide;

15. The best photographer in the field of tourism;

16. The best sanatorium-and-spa establishment;

17. The best yurt town.

The deadline is September 12, 2017. Then the special commission will evaluate the activity of the participants of the competition, and on September 27 the presentation of the Kyrgyz Tourism Awards will be organized.

"We held such a competition two years ago. But since 2017, we plan to conduct it annually in the period from August to September," Zhamankulov added.
