Bishkek, Aug. 11, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyial Kenzhematova, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, spoke about the losses suffered by the tourism sector of Kyrgyzstan due to the pandemic.
She said that a study was carried out of the impact of the pandemic on the tourism sector and, as a result, it became known that losses in the tourism sector amounted to 80%, and more than 15% of subjects of activity in this area did not survive the pandemic and closed.
“The republican headquarters approved sanitary and epidemiological measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus and adopted the appropriate requirements and algorithms for actions in the field of summer and winter tourism. All resort, guest houses are obliged to comply with these requirements,” said Kenzhematova.
