Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2024./Kabar/. Tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan was presented in Islamabad city of Pakistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
In order to develop cooperation in tourism between the two countries, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Pakistan organized a meeting of Ambassador Avazbek Atakhanov with representatives of international Pakistani tour operators.
The meeting included bilateral meetings in B2B (“business to business”) format, demonstration of videos on tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, as well as tasting of national cuisine.
Opening the event, Ambassador Avazbek Atakhanov noted the main socio-economic achievements of Kyrgyzstan over the past four years, including in the tourism industry. He said that only for nine months of 2024 more than 7 million foreign tourists visited Kyrgyzstan and invited Pakistani tourists to discover the unique beauty, nature and rich culture of the country.
The participants were particularly interested in Kyrgyzstan's tourism opportunities, Kyrgyz yurt, national dress, nomadic games, and Kyrgyz hospitality traditions.
This event was attended by representatives of 18 international travel companies of Pakistan, who expressed their desire to visit Kyrgyzstan on a study tour to establish business contacts in the field of tourism.
