Tourists prefer to come to Kyrgyzstan as campers

Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2018. / Kabar /. Over the past year, the border of Kyrgyzstan was crossed by 4.7 million people, of which 1 million 375.1 thousand people were foreign tourists, the National Statistics Committee reported with reference to the State Border Service.

The report said that the main flow of foreign citizens came from Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey and India.

"The number of tourists rested for the past year amounted to 1 million 375.1 thousand people, which is 8% more compared to the previous year. In the organized sector of tourism 727.8 thousand people rested, in the unorganized sector - 647.3 thousand people," the National Statistics Committee told.

At the same time, in the total amount the share of tourists, rested in the organized sector fell to 52.9% compared with 59.3% in 2013. And the share of those who rested in the unorganized sector, or campers, on the contrary, increased from 40.7% to 47.1%.

It should be noted that here the share of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the total number of tourists who rested in the organized sector was more than 78% (568.5 thousand people).
