Trade and economic cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with Ethiopia has the potential for development

Bishkek, March 16 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Eldar Abakirov met with Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Kyrgyz Republic (with residence in Ankara) Ayaleu Gobezie Vorkeneh.

The press service of the Ministry of Economy reports that, in 2016 Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover with Ethiopia amounted to $ 2.8 thousand, which mainly consisted of the import of flowers.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized that trade and economic cooperation between the two countries has the potential for development.

Ayaleu Gozieh Vorkeneh said that Ethiopia, in accordance with the country's development strategy, pursues a policy of sustainable development, implements projects for the creation of infrastructure, construction of hydroelectric power stations, develops education, science and agriculture spheres.

The sides agreed on the exchange of experience in these areas.
