Trade and logistics hub in Naryn oblast will be built by winter of 2017

Naryn, Sept 19, 2017 /Kabar /. The trade and logistics hub in Naryn oblast will be built by the winter of 2017, Deputy Economy Minister Eldar Abakirov said during the working trip of Prime Minister Sapar Isakov to Naryn oblast.

He said that this issue was discussed during the meeting of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev with Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2015.

"Negotiations have been held today, including with the border regions of China and Naryn oblast. There is a prior consent. The hub is planned to be built on 200 hectares. It will consist of three zones: a trading hub, a logistics and an industrial one," he said.

Deputy Minister of Economy informed that first of all, within the framework of the project development of trade and logistics is planned. Abakirov said that there are necessary conditions for this, namely, that Torugart route, which runs from central China and then goes to Pakistan is 70 km away from the hub's territory. There also passes the railway.

"This will be the point of the junction between the EEU and the route from China to Pakistan. The three companies are interested, they intend to build transshipment warehouses. The infrastructure of the center is fully paid by the state, it will take about 20-30 million soms and investors will be attracted to other expenses," Abakirov said.
