At the end of 2022, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan increased by 19% and amounted to USD 10.8 million, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmedov told at the 5th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation.
He said that this figure exceeded the pre-pandemic period.
“The dynamics of the increase in trade turnover this year allows us to say that we can reach higher rates. Over the first half of the year, mutual trade increased more than 4 times, exceeding USD17 million,” he said.
Ali Ahmedov added that the Azerbaijani side is fully open to fruitful dialogue and solving joint tasks on the entire agenda of bilateral relations in the spirit of friendship, brotherhood and strategic partnership.
