The Ankara Center for Crisis and Policy Research (ANKASAM) hosted on Friday a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the republic and Turkey, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev drew attention to the fact that in a short period of time Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have achieved great success in the development of political dialogue and cooperation in key areas.
He added that the task to bring trade turnover between the two countries to $ 1 billion, set by heads of state, is being implemented.
Omuraliev said that in January-October 2021, trade turnover between the two countries reached $ 661.1 million and compared to the same period in 2020 has increased by $ 263.6 million.
In addition, videos were presented during the event about the economic and tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan.
