Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2019. /Kabar/. A training session in countering terrorism was held at Kant United Russian Aviation Base of the CSTO, the press service of the air base reported.
The aim of the training was to achieve the coordinated actions of the antiterror group while holding off an attack of conventional terrorists on the objects of the military unit.
During the training session, a tactical episode was played in which a group of a conventional opponent captured a checkpoint.
Having received a signal of attack, the anti-terror unit advanced to the captured object. The blocking group prevented the penetration of the conventional enemy into the residential zone, and the capture group, using smoke, managed to get as close as possible to the building and neutralize the conventional terrorists.
According to the command, the unit acted competently, harmoniously, showed a high degree of combat readiness. The staff of the group is ready to perform tasks.
The perimeter of the exercise was guarded by members of the military police station.
Trainings in countering terrorism are held at the air base every day. The servicemen are working out new non-repetitive scenarios. Under various circumstances, the airfield, residential zone, aircraft parking and part warehouses alternately become the conventional targets of terrorist attacks. Moreover, the Russian military are practicing countering terrorist groups in cooperation with the Kyrgyz militia.
