25th Term War Journalism Training over in Ankara

Bishkek, July 15, 2024. /Kabar/. The 25th Term War Journalism Training has ended in Ankara, the capital of Turkiye. Media representatives were brought together to learn how to work in a war zone.

The participants of the training received appropriate certificates. During the training the journalists were introduced to the work of the air force and navy and trained on rendering first aid to wounded citizens, how to work in emergency situations, cyber security, use of masks against various gasses, tear gas, water and crowd dispersal, making articles in refugee camps, criminals. During the attack, there were defensive tactics, photography basics, swimming techniques and rescue lessons..

25 media representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Tajikistan, Kosovo, Georgia and other countries took part in the exercises.

The event was organized by the Anadolu News Agency together with TİKA, as well as the Turkish Police Academy.

Previously, 533 journalists had already completed training to work in high-risk areas.
