Turkey determines venue for 2020 World Nomad Games

Bishkek, Jan.17, 2020 /Kabar/. The IV World Nomad Games (WNG) will be held in Turkey’s Iznik town (Bursa Province), Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Jamankulov said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

Jamankulov added for today date of holding the Games is not identified yet.

"We are waiting for the Turkish side to announce the date and format of the event. The cultural program and athletes of Kyrgyzstan are already in full readiness", said the minister.

Note that the World Nomad Games have been held every two years since 2014 at the initiative of Kyrgyzstan. The Games were held three times in the republic. All of them took place in Cholpon-Ata town and Kyrchyn Gorge of Issyk-Kul Oblast.

In September 2018, during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan, decision was taken to hold the IV World Nomad Games in 2020 in Turkey.
