Kyrgyzstan participates in international media forum dedicated to 30th anniversary of independence of Turkic world

Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2021 / Kabar /. An international media forum “Rooted Past, Strong Future” is being held in Istanbul, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Turkic world, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan said.

The forum takes place on October 22-24 and is accompanied by a series of sessions dedicated to the role of the media today, media integration in Turkic-speaking countries, information literacy and public confidence in the media.

The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Ilyazbek Baltashev.

A number of representatives of the media of Kyrgyzstan, teachers and students of the faculties of journalism and communication of universities in Bishkek take part in the media forum.

Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev, Head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of Turkey Fahrettin Altun and other prominent media representatives of the Turkic world spoke at the opening of the event.

The main part of the forum began with a special session dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Turkic world and the film industry of the Turkic world towards a common cultural future.

Kyrgyzstan was represented by Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Ilyazbek Baltashev, who emphasized that the Turkic world took its rightful place in geopolitics, the voice of independent Turkic states in the eyes of the world community is strong and uniform. He also noted that the forum was held in a timely manner and at a high organizational level, stressing that this step of the Turkic Council became an excellent platform for uniting the media of the Turkic world.

The forum will run until October 24. It is attended by leading media representatives of the Turkic-speaking countries.
