Turkey interested in expanding comprehensive cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 23, 2022 / Kabar /. Turkey is interested in expanding comprehensive cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Sentop told during a meeting with Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Talant Mamytov.

At the meeting, issues of enhancing political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties and expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed, the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Talant Mamytov noted that Kyrgyzstan pays special attention to strengthening and deepening fraternal relations with Turkey. “The high level of political dialogue between the countries is maintained. I am sure that our joint efforts will contribute to the further development of bilateral relations,” the speaker stressed.

Touching upon the issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, the Kyrgyz speaker noted that within the framework of the TurkPA it is necessary to strengthen the cooperation of the Turkic states. He added that at the XI plenary session of the TurkPA in Cholpon-Ata, a number of important and significant decisions would be made.

The chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly stressed that Turkey is interested in expanding all-round cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, including further intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation. He noted that it is necessary to expand bilateral inter-parliamentary ties by organizing meetings of parliamentary friendship groups of the two states. Mustafa Shentop invited Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh to pay an official visit to Turkey.

The XI plenary meeting of the TurkPA will be held on June 24 in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul.
