Turkey’s Ankara celebrates 70th anniversary of People’s Artist of USSR Cholponbek Bazarbayev

Bishkek, Dec.24, 2019. /Kabar/. The Ankara State Opera and Ballet Theater (Turkey) hosted a cultural event, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of state and public figure, People's Artist of the USSR Cholponbek Bazarbayev.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey together with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

The event included memorable performances, a photo exhibition about the life and creativity of great Kyrgyz ballet dancer Cholponbek Bazarbayev and the Swan Lake ballet.

TURKSOY General Secretary Dusen Kasseinov, noting the great parts of the famous artist, stressed that he is a unique talent of Kyrgyz art.

In his speech, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, noting the invaluable contribution of Bazarbayev to the development of Kyrgyz culture, stressed the name of Cholponbek Bazarbayev was glorified in the international arena.

Famous Kyrgyz ballerina Aisuluu Tokombayeva shared her warm memories of working together with Cholponbek Bazarbayev.

Deputy Head of the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Theatre Ersoy Devlet made a memorable speech about Cholponbek Bazarbayev.

The event was attended by Cholponbek Bazarbayev's younger brother Kudaibergen Bazarbayev, ambassadors accredited in Ankara, representatives of a number of ministries, departments and municipalities of Turkey, international and public organizations, business structures, media and Kyrgyz diaspora.

Cholponbek Bazarbayev is Kyrgyz ballet dancer, People's Artist of the USSR (1982).

Bazarbayev is a laureate of international contests of choreographic art. He has toured cities of the Soviet Union and abroad (Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Romania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Syria, Tunisia, Libya, Turkey, the Philippines and Nicaragua).
