The press service of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry reported that the Protocol was signed by health ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The purpose of the Protocol is to create a Unified Information System, which will coordinate the processes of organ donation and transplantation between the OTS member countries. TÜRKTRANSPLANT system will ensure the exchange of information on donors and recipients, simplify the organization of organ transplants and allow the participating countries to jointly address issues related to organ donation and transplantation.
Among the key intentions are the development of a unified legislation on organ transplantation in the OTS countries and the creation of a pool of donor organs available to member countries on the basis of mutual cooperation.
The establishment of the TÜRKTRANSPLANT system will not only strengthen coordination in the field of transplantology, but will also significantly increase the number of donor organs available to patients. This will be an important step in the development of medical care and strengthening of interconnections between the countries of the Turkic-speaking world.
All activities will be carried out in accordance with the legislation of member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.
