Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2024. /Kabar/. Turkish Airlines will transport up to 300 tons of agricultural goods from Bishkek to Shanghai every week, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan said.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry held a meeting with representatives of the Turkish Embassy and Turkish Airlines.
During the meeting, negotiations were held on signing an agreement on transportation of agricultural goods from Bishkek to the city of Shanghai.
According to it, Turkish Airlines will deliver up to 300 tons of agricultural goods (cargo) per week to China, which will reduce the price for 1 kilogram of transported goods from USD 6-7 to 1.5.
The main objective is to increase the export potential of agricultural goods. In this regard, the Ministry of Agriculture encourages domestic producers, exporters to actively develop agriculture and increase the export potential of the country.
