Osh, Jan. 31, 2019. / Kabar /. Farmers of Kara-Suu region of Osh oblast begin to grow Californian nuts with the support of businessmen from Turkey.
This variety of nuts gives a high-quality harvest in the shortest time: three years after planting the saplings of the nut of the California variety, one can get a crop, farmers can get a crop up to 150 years after planting.
On Jan. 28, 2018, a meeting of Osh region farmers with businessmen from the Turkish company Abdylaz took place in the Osh regional administration building, where businessmen expressed a desire to train local farmers in the cultivation of Californian nuts, they also plan to take responsibility for exporting these products.
According to experts, the demand for this type of nuts is in demand in Europe, they are used in medicine and perfumery. Demand exceeds supply by 100 thousand tons annually, so businessmen from Turkey want to teach to grow it in Kyrgyzstan, where there is a clean air, fresh water and the right climate.
If the parties agree, then in the spring of 2019 it is planned to begin planting industrial seedlings.
