Turkish doctors provide assistance to Uzbekistan in combating COVID-19

Tashkent, Aug. 29, 2020. /Kabar/. A group of 16 medical specialists from Turkey arrived Aug. 28 in the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent to assist their Uzbek counterparts in combating the spread of coronavirus, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.

The group includes anesthesiologists, intensive care specialists, pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, pediatricians, as well as qualified specialists in the field of emergency care.

Turkish specialists will visit a number of clinics, hospitals and laboratories in Tashkent, as well as in Karakalpakstan, Navoiy Region and regions of Fergana Valley, where they will assist local doctors in identifying, controlling and treating patients with COVID-19.

Medical teams from Russia, China and Germany are currently in the republic to help combat coronavirus infection.
