Bishkek, March 10, 2023. / Kabar /. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Turkiye.
“I conveyed sincere condolences from President Sadyr Zhaparov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev and the entire fraternal Kyrgyz people,” Kazakbaev wrote on social networks.
In response, according to the ambassador, Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed great gratitude to the people of Kyrgyzstan for their sincere and prompt assistance after the devastating earthquakes in Turkuye. He noted the professional work of the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, and also thanked for the help in the form of Kyrgyz yurts and a field hospital.
“The Turkish diplomat emphasized that the great tragedy united the fraternal Turkic peoples, opened a new page in the history of our relations. During the meeting, we discussed issues of our bilateral cooperation and interaction within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
The Turkish side expressed support for the establishment of a bilateral Development Fund, which will make it possible to intensify trade and economic relations between our countries,” the ambassador said in a statement.
Kazakbaev added that the parties agreed to continue working together to attract Turkish investments to Kyrgyzstan and resolve existing disputes with Turkish enterprises.
“The meeting with dear brother Mevlut Cavusoglu was sincerely friendly. We agreed to regularly hold similar meetings for an open exchange of views and discussion of joint projects,” the diplomat concluded.
