Turkish hospitals to accept up to 150 Kyrgyzstanis per year free of charge

Bishkek, May 21, 2019. /Kabar/. Turkey has increased the number of quotas for Kyrgyz citizens from 100 to 150 for treatment in medical institutions on its territory, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

This agreement was reached on May 20 during the meeting of the Ministers of Health of the two countries in the framework of their participation in the 72nd session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva.

The sides signed an additional protocol to the agreement between the governments of the two countries on cooperation in the field of health care and medical sciences dated June 3, 2014. In accordance with the protocol signed in Geneva, the Turkish side undertakes to increase the number of citizens of Kyrgyzstan for treatment in Turkish medical institutions from 100 to 150 people per year.
