Turkish leader’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan over

Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2024 . / Kabar / . A state visit of Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Kyrgyz Republic, which took place on Nov. 5, has ended.

Within the framework of the visit, a ceremony of official meeting was held between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Then, the Kyrgyz and Turkish leaders held narrow format talks, as well as the 6th meeting of the Supreme Council of Strategic Cooperation, which discussed a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Turkish interaction.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the negotiations and signed 19 documents aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, including the Joint Statement on bringing strategic cooperation relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Türkiye to the level of comprehensive strategic cooperation.

Further, President Sadyr Zhaparov made a statement to the media on the results of negotiations with Türkiye's Recep Tayyip Erdogan, where he announced the decision on writing off Kyrgyzstan's external debt to Türkiye.

As a sign of special respect and gratitude, Zhaparov presented his Turkish counterpart with the highest state award of Kyrgyzstan - Manas Order of the I degree.

Concluding the visit, Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented Zhaparov with an electric car manufactured in Turkey.

Tomorrow, Nov. 6, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will participate in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
