Turkiye becomes main importer of Kyrgyz gold in 2022

Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2023 / Kabar/. Over 11 months of last year, Kyrgyzstan exported 88.4 kilograms of gold to Turkiyeand the United Arab Emirates. Such data are given in the latest report of the National Statistical Committee on mutual trade.

The lion's share of this volume for the period from January to November 2022 was bought by Turkey - more than 83.5 kilograms in the amount of USD 789 thousand 654. In November, 19 kilograms of precious metal were delivered to this country, the total cost was estimated at about USD 180.1 thousand. It's USD 9.47 per gram.

The UAE for 11 months last year bought almost 5 kilograms of the precious metal for USD 296 thousand. There were no new gold deals with the UAE in November. It should be noted that the Arab partners valued the Kyrgyz precious metal at a price close to the value of gold on the London Precious Metals Exchange (LMBA), paying USD 59.2 for each purchased gram.
