Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2021. / Kabar /. The fifth online meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kyrgyz Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation was held on Dec. 3, the Turkmen state news agency said.
Heads and representatives of ministries, sectoral departments and business circles of the two countries took part in the work of the Commission.
The meeting participants discussed issues of joint work on the transport corridor. Turkmenistan offered its Kyrgyz partners to use the seaport in Turkmenbashi for the transport of goods in the East-West-East direction, the agency reports.
The sides also discussed the need to take measures to increase the volume of mutual trade, expand the variety of supplied goods and services, build up investment ties, as well as establish direct contacts between economic entities of both states.
Following the results of the Commission's work, a corresponding protocol was signed.
