Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . An agreement on the provision of services between the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the World Intellectual Property Organization was signed on October 12 via video communication, ORIENT reported.
“Work in this area will stimulate innovation, invention and creativity, and will also help accelerate the transition of scientific institutions and higher educational institutions to a market economy environment,” Daren Tan commented on the signing of the Agreement.
During the meeting, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mukhammetgeldy Serdarov told the WIPO Director General that it is planned to create a Technology and Innovation Support Center at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management in the near future. According to the minister, this will expand the possibility of transferring knowledge and technologies to the country's economy, will contribute to the further development of the domestic market, since there will be a need to protect new objects of intellectual property.
