TurkPA Secretary General to visit Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 14 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aidzhigit Buranov met on Monday with Secretary General of TurkPA Zhandos Asanov at the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) in Baku, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

During the conversation, TurkPA Secretary General praised the results of the working visit of the heads of parliaments of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Turkey, who attended the opening ceremony of the new building of the Secretariat of TurkPA. He expressed satisfaction with his meeting with Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Chynybay Tursunbekov on 21 and 22 December last year and praised deputies of Kyrgyz Parliament for their active participation in the activities of TurkPA.

The sides discussed the upcoming visit of the TurkPA Secretary General to Bishkek on 16-17 February for consultations to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation within TurkPA. Zhandos Asanov will meet also with heads of relevant departments of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and theNational Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic.
