Two chess players from Kyrgyzstan receive title of FIDE Masters

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstanis Melis Mamatov and Begimay Zairbek kyzy received the title of FIDE Masters, President of the Federation of this sport Milan Turpanov told.

The 43rd World Chess Olympiad was held in Batumi, Georgia, from September 24 to October 5, where the girls’ team of the Kyrgyz Republic won the gold medal in Group C.

According to the results of the competitions, there were 10 games held in which Mamatov scored 6 points, Zairbek Kyzy - 7.

The FIDE chess title is awarded for successful performances in international competitions.
