Two designers from Kyrgyzstan compete with their counterparts from Russia

Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2018. /Kabar/. Designers from Kyrgyzstan are taking part in the 40th International Contest “Ekzersis” (Russian: Экзерсис) and compete against 22 counterparts from different cities of Russia, presenting their own collections.

Saikal Akimova from Bishkek brought a youth collection – “Schastye neba, gde tysacha zhuravley” (Russian: Счастье неба, где тысяча журавлей, lit.: Happiness of the sky with a thousand of cranes) for the competition. Her compatriot Zalkarbek Askarali uulu is presenting a clothing line “Tree of Life” (Russian: Древо жизни), for which he mainly used felt fabrics.

Currently online voting is underway on the official site of the competition, and the finals are to take place on September 18-21 within the 51st Federal Wholesale Textillegprom Fair for Light Industry Goods and Equipment. VDNKH in Moscow is to serve as a venue for the fair. The special prize for young designer-winner will be a certificate for an extended interview in a fashion magazine.

The voting will last till September 14. Kyrgyz designers ask their compatriots to support and vote for them on the site.
