Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2024. / Kabar/. Two earthquakes were recorded on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border overnight.

According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the first earthquake occurred tonight at 03:14, the intensity at the epicenter was 4.5.

The earthquake center was located in China, 35 km southeast of the village of Bedel, 46 km southeast of the village of Yshtyk, 134 km southeast of the city of Karakol. In populated areas of the Kyrgyz Republic, the intensity of the earthquake was: in the villages of Bedel 3 and Yshtyk - 2.5 points.

The second earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.5 at the epicenter, was registered at 04:23. The earthquake's epicenter was located on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China, 7 km southwest of the village of Nura, 140 km southeast of the city of Osh. In populated areas of the Kyrgyz Republic, the intensity of the earthquake was: in the village of Nura 3 points, in the villages of Ikizyak, Irkeshtam - 2 points.
