Two international flights delayed at Manas airport due to power surge

Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2021 / Kabar /. Two international flights have been delayed today at the Manas airport due to power surge.

The situation at the Manas-airport checkpoint is stable, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

On Nov. 29, at about 08:15 a.m., a sharp surge in electrical voltage was recorded in the building of the Manas International Airport.

There was no malfunction of the border control system itself, since the server equipment was installed in a separate unit.

According to preliminary data, problems arose in the communication systems of the airport - initially, the airport employees connected electricity only for lighting, while the supply of electricity to electrical devices in the communication department was carried out later.

Thus, all airport systems temporarily ceased to function: the passenger registration system, as well as passport control cabins, communication between which is provided by the airport.

Due to a malfunction of the airport, there were delays of two flights Bishkek-Istanbul and Bishkek-Almaty.

The citizens' pass was resumed at 10:09 a.m.. Passengers of the above flights passed all types of control with a delay of 30 minutes.

Currently, the border guards of the Manas-airport checkpoint are on duty as usual, the report said.
