Two Kyrgyz checkpoints at border with Kazakhstan become international

Bishkek, Mar.2, 2020. /Kabar/. Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhnyi and Tokmok-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints have become international, the press service of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.

"In accordance with the protocol on amendments to the "Agreement between the Government of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Kazakhstan on the checkpoints at the state border of Dec. 25, 2003" (signed on Aug.17, 2018 in Astana city), the status of Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhnyi and Tokmok-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints has been altered from bilateral to multilateral (international)," the report says.

From Mar.2, 2020, the Ken-Bulun- Avtodorozhnyi (Kyrgyzstan)-Aukhatty (Kazakhstan) and Tokmok-Avtodorozhnyi (Kyrgyzstan)-Sortobe (Kazakhstan) checkpoints began passage of third-country nationals.

Tokmok-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint is a multilateral (international) checkpoint provides a pass for persons, vehicles and cargo.

It is located near the Dunlarov Bridge, near the town of Tokmok.

The Ken-Bulun- Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint is a multilateral (international) checkpoint for the passage of persons, vehicles and goods.

It is located near the village of Ken-Bulun.

These checkpoints operate 24 hours a day.
